Press down evenly on all five prongs for a secure installation. In hard or stony ground, water the spot beforehand to make installation easier.
  • MATCH THE HEIGHT TO WHAT YOU ARE HANGING: Capacity changes with height because taller poles create more leverage on the base. Adjust this 63-inch shepherd hook to 48" or 32" by removing extension sections. Supports up to 11 lbs at 63", 20 lbs at 48", and 30 lbs at 32". Use the full height for greater clearance, or shorten the pole when hanging heavier items. Made from 0.5mm powder-coated steel tube with a 5/8" outside diameter, using 16" sections that add or remove by hand with no tools.
  • THE HEIGHT YOU ACTUALLY GET, AND HOW TO SET IT UP: The 63-inch figure includes about 8.5 inches of the base inserted into the ground, leaving roughly 54.5 inches above the soil. The 48-inch setting leaves about 39.5 inches above ground, while the 32-inch setting leaves about 23.5 inches above ground. Twist the 16-inch sections together, position the base, and press down firmly on all five prongs for installation.
